QUALITY PROCESSES IN ORCHARDS
The Protected Origin Appellation (AOP)
So as to benefit from the AOP appellation, apples and walnuts must meet conditions as stipulated by a specification document governing methods for receiving said appellation (variety, method of cultivation, density, etc.).
Each operator, from producers to retailers, is inspected each year by independent bodies registered with the INAO (National Institute for Origin and Quality Inspection). For more information on this subject please visit:
GLOBALGAP Certification
Created in 1997 under the impetus of major stakeholders in European mass marketing, the GLOBALGAP reference system is a method of fulfilling the increasing concerns expressed by consumers in terms of food safety, animal welfare, environmental protection and general improvement of working conditions.

Food safety management systems
The BRC (British Retail Consortium) and the IFS (International Food Standardisation) reference systems aim at overseeing the safety of food produce sold by retailers as own-store brands.
Consequently, all sites of the group are inspected each year by a certification body for the renewal of certification.
